EF802 Telefunken Germany NOS laboratory grade double OO getter early 1950s

Rare New Old Stock (NOS), Never-In-Box (NIB) EF802 pentode valves from Telefunken, manufactured in Germany during the early 1950s for high-reliability laboratory and broadcast applications. These are original “first type” units, featuring the iconic double “OO” getter and built to exacting military-grade specifications.

The EF802 is a specialized variant of the EF800 series, designed for ultra-low output capacitance (≈1.8 pF) due to the absence of anode shielding — making it ideal for RF and wideband amplifiers up to 30 MHz. With exceptional steepness (transconductance) and minimal microphonics, it was selected by the German Federal Postal Service and national broadcasters for critical infrastructure.

As noted in Funktechnik No. 7–1952, p. 176: “Telefunken developed a series of special tubes with extended service life and enhanced performance for commercial use — including the EF800, EF802, EF804, and EF804S.”
